GDT x BAR: Making Christmas Kinder for Animals
This Christmas, Green Dinner Table is proud to be supporting Beyond Animal Research (BAR) – a charity working to end animal testing and the harmful use of animals for science in Aotearoa New Zealand.
As a vegan business, caring about animals is a big part of who we are, and so this Christmas, we wanted to use what we do best – bringing people together around delicious food – to help support a charity creating real change for animals here in NZ.
There are lots of ways you can get involved too – from ordering our Christmas Combo or buying a gift that gives back, to doing something that won’t cost you a cent.
Meet BAR
Beyond Animal Research is a unique charity working with scientists, researchers and others to help move science beyond the harmful use of animals.
BAR’s work includes – helping researchers’ access and trial non-animal methods; leading NZ-first research into the barriers preventing the wider adoption of non-animal methods; and raising awareness about how animals are used in New Zealand and how that can change.
That’s ambitious work for animals – and so this Christmas, we’re really proud to be getting behind it.

BAR’s beautiful Cruelty Free Era Forever fine art print was created exclusively for BAR by artist Amanda Toner.
Featuring rabbits running freely beneath a starry sky, it represents the future BAR is working towards – one where animals are no longer harmed in science.
Only a limited 150 have been made, and every purchase helps support BAR’s work.
